Pittwater RSL is a long-established Sub-Branch of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Our Sub-Branch is the presence in Pittwater of the Returned and Services League (RSL), Australia's largest Veterans' organisation. We commemorate the service - past and present - of Australia’s defence forces and we work to promote the spirit of ANZAC in our local area.

Our Aims

1 To promote the interests and welfare of members and their families and to ensure that veterans receive just compensation for their service in the armed forces.

2 To commemorate the service of all Australian Defence Force personnel past and present, especially those who paid the supreme sacrifice.

3 To provide opportunities for members and their families to socialise and take part in community activities.

4 To engage with the general community promoting the patriotic spirit of Anzac, providing information on our activities and encouraging membership of and interaction with the Sub-Branch.

ANZAC

Every year the Club holds services to honour and commemorate the ANZAC spirit. In 2015 we celebrate the Centenary of ANZAC.

In April we had our ANZAC Sunday March & Luncheon. This ceremony traditionally takes place on the Sunday prior to ANZAC Day, with a service being held at Village Park in Mona Vale, followed by Luncheon in the Club's Auditorium. In 2015 our Sub Branch took part in the Special Centenary March & Ceremony to be held at Rat Park, Warriewood. The ANZAC Luncheon was held afterwards back at the Club.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

Remembrance Day was formerly known as Armistice Day and commemorates the cease-fire at the end of World War I. On the 11th day of the 11th month at 11am, one minute's silence is observed, to reflect on the loss and suffering caused by war...
