Over the weekend the weather gave organisers a few anxious moments, with ominous black rain clouds
massing in the south west. However, apart from the odd passing shower, the players were mostly
bathed in brilliant sunshine, with perfect Autumn temperatures of around 24°C.
The greens were running (fast/slow?) in a ?? direction, having been well prepared
by Pittwater's green keepers.
Future Plans
Pittwater RSL Club is currently constructing 6 x Futsal courts on unimproved land owned by the Club
to the west of the bowling greens. Part of this development will include an amenities block which
will service both the Futsal players and the Bowlers. These facilities will be a great boon to
future Carnivals, providing many food and beverage options in a cafeteria-style layout,
directly adjacent to the bowling greens.
